Let me give you some background...Back in '67, most bikes from Japan were small or midsize, but the youth of the time wanted more.....late in '67 Suzuki responded with the '68 Suzuki 500 five, or, as they called it in the UK.......the Cobra. ......a 500cc twin that would hall you down the 1/4 mile in 14seconds flat, would go 0-60 in 6 seconds, and could go over 100 mph, and still be reliable as a stone bridge. A 5 speed transmission was a new thing, but the 500 came with one. It is known as the first true super bike from Japan and produced 47 horsepower in its stock form; the fastest bike available from Japan at that time. The icing on the cake with this beauty, is that she is rare, an early production model.....SWEET! For sale at BSR...
